Philipp Kunze

Philipp Kunze is an experienced project developer and an expert in optimising PV power plant design in order to best meet the requirements of electricity markets and, hence, capture the highest possible project value. He has been active in the Renewable Energy space since 2005 and in the Greek solar market since 2009.

He was the founder and CEO of OneShore Energy GmbH, a start-up focusing on the design and realisation of PV diesel hybrid energy systems, which was established in 2013 and acquired by BayWa r.e. GmbH in 2017. After the successful integration into BayWa r.e. he assumed the parallel roles of Head of Solar Project Development Greece and Global Head of Hybrids and Energy Storage. Before that, he worked for NexTracker, Inc. the globally leading tracker manufacturer and Solaria Corporation, a PV module technology company, as a management consultant and banker. 

He studied at London School of Economics in London and ESADE in Barcelona and holds a M.Sc. And a CEMS Master in Management.
