Dr Carolos Antonios Vidalis

Carolos is a Director at British Gas Zero, Centrica’s dedicated unit to the energy transition. His teams are leading the way in UK’s Hydrogen decarbonisation trials and the development of future green skills, safety and fair access for all. He is also General Manager of Hive Home, helping UK homes achieve Net Zero with smart home technology, optimisation of domestic electric assets and flexibility. He has previously worked at Bain London on high-profile strategy projects across multiple industries in the UK, US and mainland Europe. Before that, he was an entrepreneur in Greece, co-founding and managing VDL AV, a technology company providing innovative technology solutions for events. He holds a PhD in Engineering from Imperial College London and has won several awards for his research work. He also holds a Diplôme D’Ingénieur from Ecole Central Paris and a Civil and Environmental degree from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
