Biography

Andrea Testi graduated “cum laude” in nuclear engineering from Politecnico di Milano (Italy).
From 1987 to 1989, he worked in high energy physics at ILL Institute (Grenoble, France) and then in applied research at CISE (Milano, Italy). He moved to the power generation in 1990, joining ABB Group working among others as chief engineering coordinator for a major power and water project in Abu Dhabi. In 1998 he moved to Techint as project director for the first project financed Waste-to-Energy plant in Italy and then in 1999 to Techint’s daughter company Sondel as director, international development.

 

In 2001, he moved to Enel (Rome, Italy) as head of international business development leading the international expansion in Spain, Slovakia and Bulgaria where he also was chairman of the JV which owned a 900 MW power plant. In 2006, he joined Edison (EDF Group) as head of international development and then as director of the International Power BU also taking part to the establishment of Elpedison.
From 2015 to 2018 he continued his career at EDF in Paris as VP – southern Europe and, since 2016, as VP – generation development and services, Europe.

Mr Testi has been continuously on the board of directors of Elpedison since its creation and from September 2018 he serves as executive chairman.
